Parenting trend driving nutritionists crazy

According to the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, 20 per cent of the population has a confirmed allergic disease and the numbers are growing. Nutritionist Kate Di Prima said parents were self-diagnosing food allergies in their children without seeking medical help. VEGETARIAN, wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, lactose-free, pork-free, vegan and halal – children’s diets are becoming increasingly restricted because of over-cautious parents and food allergies. We live in a very multicultural society and diverse food options come with that but I think that there are some parents out there who diagnose their children as intolerant to foods without seeking medical input.
